The day, in a little more detail.
A full day of sea air, dramatic coastline and wildlife, shaped around your party. Follow the Atlantic side of the peninsula, explore Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, and visit the penguin boardwalk at Boulders. Choose a relaxed lunch or more time outdoors. We plan sensible stops rather than squeezing every attraction into one day.
A possible itinerary
Times are planning windows in South African time (UTC+2). Your final itinerary depends on availability, opening times, pickup location and conditions.
A coastal beginning
Central Cape Town or Atlantic Seaboard collection. Camps Bay viewpoint, Hout Bay and Chapman’s Peak Drive, if open.
Cape Point, with room to explore
Allow around two hours in the reserve. Choose the steep lighthouse walk or optional funicular. Cape of Good Hope photo stop subject to traffic.
Lunch at your pace
A lunch stop around Simon’s Town. Restaurant and dietary preferences agreed in advance; meal paid separately.
Meet the penguins
Explore the Boulders viewing boardwalks. Give wildlife space; sightings and behaviour vary.
A gentle return
Return via False Bay or the most suitable route for traffic. An extra short stop depends on time.

Who this suits
First-time visitors, couples and families who want the Cape’s essential coastal day.
Party size & transport
Private transport is matched to your party. Tell us the number of adults and children, luggage, prams and any child-restraint needs. Passenger capacity, vehicle arrangements and any separate guide are confirmed in your written quote. Families and larger groups are welcome to enquire.
Pickup & drop-off
Central Cape Town and the Atlantic Seaboard are the planning area. Tell us your accommodation or meeting point. Outlying locations, airport pickups and alternative drop-offs need a separate check.
Access & mobility
Boulders has boardwalk areas, but gradients and distances vary. Cape Point’s lighthouse approach is steep. Tell us about steps, walking distance and wheelchair dimensions. Accessible transport is not yet confirmed.
Travelling with children
Allow breaks and bring sun protection. Child restraints must be requested and confirmed. Children count as passengers; an infant is never an extra seat.
Weather & changes
High wind, rain and road closures can change the route. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. We agree alternatives before a material change.
Cancellations
Read the cancellation information. Your quote will disclose the cancellation terms and any supplier conditions before you confirm.
Your questions, answered.
Can we add Table Mountain?
We recommend a separate city day. Cableway queues and the full peninsula usually make for a rushed combination.
Are tickets included?
Planning prices exclude attraction admission. A written quote itemises applicable resident or international rates.
Is this a shared tour?
The proposed service is private for your party. Vehicle and guide arrangements are confirmed individually.
